Easter weekend 2024

Saturday, March 30 – Jason and Kelsey offered to host Easter and we got to see their newly renovated home. We had a large gathering!
In total – there were about 40 various family members gathered. It was wonderful!
The entire Alan King and David King clans were present.
And the Stoves family traveled the farthest – from TN! Terrell is the baby whisperer. And Harrison is a high school senior this year! So hard to believe.
Jason blessed our food and reminded us of the resurrection – when death was conquered! The weather was gorgeous. We were able to dine inside and out. And have an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos!
Group photo of our egg hunters and their baskets. How it started.
And how it ended!
The spectators.
Random shenanigans – babies playing, Avery attempting to slide through a pet door (fail), boys on the play scape, and babies not crying if the adult cries!
Brooks and Blakely – sibling love.
Cute couples!
And of course – Amelia photos! She was great all day! Wandered amongst the folks and didn’t seem afraid of anyone.
The ride down was 1 hour and 40 minutes. She fell asleep 6 minutes before our arrival. But leaving, she was probably asleep before we got to the end of the driveway!

Easter Day, Sunday, March 31

We worshiped with the Carter family at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. The entire Carter clan was at church except for Caleb who had to work.
After church, Amelia took her hair bow off. Her hair was sticking up! It’s getting longer. After church, Amanda and Josh Reed invited us to an Easter lunch at their home with the rest of the Carters. And it is Carter’s 19th birthday! Roben said our mealtime prayer reminding us of our many blessings because of Jesus and the Resurrection.
Amelia posed with Carter, Elijah, and Levi. And then Grandma got a picture of Aunt Brittaney with Gunner and Taylor.
And then, of course, we need a group photo!
Amelia continued her rock and stick collecting outside. And then she fell on the concrete and got her first skinned knee. It didn’t even faze her. Her white sandals are new and she’s not used to walking in them.
